This is a DBW (drive by wire) accelerator pedal adapter plate that fits 1988-98 Chevy and GMC Trucks and SUV's up until 2000. It is cnc machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and powder coated in satin black.
This kit uses the hardware that comes with the CTS Cadillac / GM Performance Parts Connect and Cruise accelerator pedal to mount it to this adapter plate.
The advantage of this plate are as follows:
This plate bolts to the original gas pedal mounting position on the firewall using the original mounting hardware.
It has a total height adjustment of 3/4" and a total lateral movement of 3/4" which allows the accelerator pedal to be adjusted for the driver's desired foot placement.
It fits the CTS accelerator pedal GM part number 10379038.
NOTE: On 1988-94 trucks
The radio CDM/tuner will need to be removed. If you have an aftermarket stereo installed this unit will most likely have been removed. The bracket that mounts this CDM to the firewall above the accelerator will have to be cut out or bent down to allow the dbw bracket to fit.
This kit will also fit 73-87 trucks. However, the factory cruise control module will have to be removed. The module is located near the a/c duct below and to the left of the radio. It is a tight fit with duct work but will fit. The cruise control module is not needed with the update of an LS/LT swap.
The CTS accelerator pedal is not included
